Types Of Natural Resources
Oil, coal, natural gas, metals, stone and sand are natural resources.
Other natural resources are air, sunlight, soil and water. Animals,
birds, fish and plants are natural resources as well. Natural resources
are used to make food, fuel and raw materials for the production of goods.
Coal
Coal is a combustible black or brownish-black sedimentary rock,
formed as rock strata called coal seams. Coal is mostly carbon
with variable amounts of other elements, chiefly hydrogen,
sulfur, oxygen, and nitrogen. ... Some iron and steel making
and other industrial processes burn coal.
Water
Water is an inorganic, transparent, tasteless, odorless,
and nearly colorless chemical substance, which is the main
constituent of Earth's hydrosphere and the fluids of all known
living organisms. It is vital for all known forms of life, even though
it provides no calories or organic nutrients
Sun
It is a renewable resource meaning it can be replaced
once used again and again. The sun provides us with heat,
energy ,light and vitamin D. Without the sun the earth would
be a cold ,dark universe. The sun our local star, is the life
source for earth, If the sun died, so would like on earth.
Forest
rests are a valuable resource providing food,
shelter, wildlife habitat, fuel, and daily supplies
such as medicinal ingredients and paper. Forests play
an important role in balancing the Earth's CO2 supply
and exchange, acting as a key link between the atmosphere,
geosphere, and hydrosphere
Metals
Metallic resources are things like Gold, Silver,
Tin, Copper, Lead, Zinc, Iron, Nickel, Chromium,
and Aluminum. Nonmetallic resources are things
like sand, gravel, gypsum, halite, Uranium, dimension
stone. A mineral resource is a volume of rock enriched
in one or more useful materials
Oil & Gas
Oil and natural gas are formed from decaying
plant and animal remains that became buried
within layers of the earth and subjected to heat and
pressure over millions of years. These two types of
fossil fuels have been the world's primary sources
of energy for decades.
