Introduction to UAE

The UAE is an elective monarchy formed from a federation of seven emirates, consisting of Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain. Each emirate is governed by a Sheikh and, together, they form the Federal Supreme Council; one of them serves as President of the United Arab Emirates.
The official language of the United Arab Emirates is Arabic. Modern Standard Arabic is taught in schools, and most native Emiratis speak a dialect of Gulf Arabic that is generally similar to that spoken in surrounding countries.
Islam is the official religion of the United Arab Emirates. In addition to the many mosques located throughout the country, there are places of worship available for people to practice different faiths and religions.
The flag of the United Arab Emirates contains the Pan-Arab colors red, green, white, and black.It was adopted in 2nd December 1971. It was designed by Abdulla Mohamed Al Maainah
The emblem of the United Arab Emirates was officially adopted on 9 December 1973. It consists of a golden falcon with a disk in the middle, which shows the UAE flag and seven stars representing the seven Emirates of the federation. The falcon has 7 feathers also representing the 7 Emirates. The falcon holds with its talons a red parchment bearing the name of the federation in Kufic script.
The Arabian oryx is the national animal of the United Arab Emirates. The Arabian oryx is also the namesake of several businesses on the Arabian peninsula, notably Al Maha Airways and Al Maha Petroleum.

Tribulus omanense is the national flower of the United Arab Emirates. It is the national flower because it grows in hot and rough weather so it suits its conditions.
